bHive is a ‘complete’ inventory management system that provides an accurate as-built view of your network. It manages not only assets reported by the Network Management Systems (NMS) and Element Management Systems (EMS), but also those that are not reported, such as spare and in-transit equipment, as well as cross domain assets that are not managed by NMS on either side.
With its state-of-the-art visualisation engine, bHive provides seamlessly integrated physical and logical views of the network. It allows navigation from the top-level network down to a faulty port in a few clicks. Physical equipment views provide network controllers in the Network Operation Centre (NOC) with the same view as on-site field engineers. Complemented with its impact analysis capabilities, troubleshooting has just become easier.
The centralisation of inventory records allows one copy of the master information to be used by everyone. It eliminates problems with coordination and working with obsolete information, typical of spreadsheets or other non-centralised systems. As an integrated system inventory components can be linked to live cases and network events so the status of those components is always displayed.
